Transportation in the United States is facilitated by road, air, rail and waterways. The third Friday of May is National Transportation Day, and each year, the people of the United States are invited to observe that week with appropriate ceremonies and activities as a tribute to the men and women who, night and day, move goods and individuals throughout the country.
